Description | Mayor Walker was so novel, she received a telegram the week of her election inviting her to New York for an episode of the popular TV game show, "What's My Line?" In it, a celebrity panel would attempt to guess the contestant's line of work through several rounds of questioning.
Walker stumped them all through 10 rounds and won $50.
After Walker's "line" was revealed, actress Kitty Carlisle remarked, "Mrs. Walker is so pretty, I'm sure everybody voted for her." |
