Description | Republicans appear to have stolen the Democrat-leaning 31st Congressional District, dealing a serious blow to Democrats' effort to seize control of the House this year.
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Rep. Gary Miller and state Sen. Bob Dutton — both Republicans — appear to have finished in the top two. New primary rules in California send the top two vote-getters on to the November general election. |
