Description | Former Scott Walker aide Tim Russell and two others were arrested today stemming from an ongoing John Doe investigation that accuses Russell of embezzling money meant to pay for a military appreciation day Walker used to sponsor as Milwaukee County executive.
According to a criminal complaint, Russell used the money to pay for vacations and other personal expenses.
Also arrested along with Russell, who is charged with two felony counts for theft in a business setting and one misdemeanor, were Kevin Kavanaugh, who is also connected to the military appreciation day, and Russell’s domestic partner, who faces a charge of child enticement.
Kavanaugh is accused of stealing money that was intended for the children of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other charges. |
