Description | Former British prime minister Gordon Brown was expected to claim Monday that hackers targeted his personal information as more allegations surfaced in the News of the World phone hacking scandal.
Brown would issue a statement saying hackers targeted his phone, personal bank account and his son's medical records, according to various media reports.
Brown's statement comes amid a number of new phone hacking claims, including a report that a former New York police officer was contacted to provide private phone data of 9/11 victims.
Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper reported that the former officer said reporters wanted the victims' phone numbers and details of the calls they had made and received in the days leading up to the attack in order to hack into voicemails. |
