| Description | COLUMBIA (AP) -- Sen. Ernest "Fritz" Hollings planned to endorse his colleague Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry on Thursday following Kerry's surprising win in Iowa earlier this week, sources close to the campaign said.
Since Monday's win in the Iowa caucuses, Kerry has started reaching out to activists and strategists in other important campaign states. South Carolina is hosting the first-in-the-South Democratic primary on Feb. 3.
