Description | "Add sports columnist to the list of former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell’s new gigs.
Rendell, a Democrat who left office earlier this month, is part of a new lineup announced today by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.
The outspoken governor is known to have a thing or two to say about sports, having been a TV commentator for Philadelphia Eagles games.
In December, Rendell was irate that the NFL postponed an Eagles game with the Minnesota Vikings for a day because of a pending snowstorm. He said at the time that America has become a land of “wussies.”
(Note to non-sports fans: It was supposed to be a nationally televised Monday night game. The NFL pushed the game to Tuesday for safety reasons.)" |
