| Description | In a damning indictment, the body, headed by Lord Sanderson of Bowden, a former minister, said the party lacks a “clear vision” and has become alienated from both the public and its own members.
Although not directly critical of Annabel Goldie, it undermined her by calling for a leadership contest to be staged after next May’s Holyrood elections to decide who should be handed control over the range of power bases that currently exists.
The review, commissioned after the Scottish Tories’ dismal general election result last May, also recommended a radical overhaul of its candidate selection, financing, membership recruitment, policy formation and relations with the UK party. |
