Description | PHOENIX - Two months from now, Republicans will pick their candidate to fill the state's top executive office. Tuesday night, the four contenders squared off in their first televised debate.
For the first time, the citizens of Arizona got an up-close look at each of the four Republican candidates for governor. While they all share a party, they have very different ideas about what is needed to get our state moving in the right direction.
In a round table format, candidates vying for the state's top executive office faced off in what could be a hotly-contested primary election.
Governor Jan Brewer, State Treasurer Dean Martin, businessman Buz Mills and Apache Junction newcomer Matthew Jette carried on what was, at times, a debate full of jabs between opponents. |
