Description | State Senator Steve Stoll, candidate for Missouri’s 3rd Congressional District, received the endorsement of the National Education Association earlier this week. The NEA made the decision at the urging of their local counterpart, the Missouri NEA.
Don Hicks, MNEA Uniserve Director for school districts in Jefferson County, was very pleased with the early endorsement. “I’ve known Steve for many years, first as a teacher and now as a legislator. I know that he will be a strong voice for the interests of educators and students in the United States Congress.”
Stoll, an 11-year veteran of the Missouri legislature, spent 20 years as a classroom teacher in Jefferson County schools before being elected to the Missouri House in 1992. He is running to replace Congressman Dick Gephardt, who has announced that he will not seek re-election to his seat
