| Description | Do a Ana County District Attorney Susana Martinez will run for governor in 2010, she confirmed Wednesday.
Plans for a formal announcement - Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Roberto's restaurant - were leaked to Las Cruces blogger Heath Haussamen after Martinez made the announcement to a group of staff members during her 50th birthday celebration Tuesday.
While her campaign platform will be spelled out after her official announcement, she said it would include being tough on corruption, fighting for children and ensuring border security, which she said was "number one." |
