Description | Was it just a lapse of judgment or a crafty political maneuver? Whatever it was- it seems to be working for gubernatorial candidate Brian Moran. This week, he gave his personal cell phone number in a televised interview. He says he's glad he did
He says it just sort of came out while answering a question about President Barack Obama (web | news | bio) . "I'll wait for him to call,” Moran said. “My cellphone number is 703 901-7207. I can't believe I just gave my cell phone number to the people of Virginia."
The Democratic candidate for governor calls it was a slip of the tongue. "Haha, it was not calculated, I can guarantee you that. My staff gasped when I gave my cell phone number over the television," Moran said.
We checked to see if it really is his number. It was, but we got no answer. He told me why he didn't pick up. "See, it came up unknown number and I won't take the unknown number," Moran said.
While some are questioning the move. Lynchburg voter Irene Imbrogno said, "It doesn't seem wise but on the other hand, I'd just go ahead and change it."
