| Description | BATON ROUGE - Just because the Republican Party has lost some hard-fought ground in recent elections is no reason to nail shut the coffin on the current state leadership, says Pat Brister, the state GOP chairman.
But that's what a member of the opposition branch of the party wants.
"It's time to clean house," said Carl Tritschler of Lafayette, who is calling for the resignation of the current party leadership, citing a series of events that he says would not have occurred if the party had stronger people in leadership positions.
