| Description | While Mesa employees sweat the news of impending layoffs, Mayor Keno Hawker is chilling out in Costa Rica.
Hawker will be unreachable during today's scheduled City Council study session, which includes a staff report on the number of jobs to be eliminated and services cut to make up for a projected revenue shortfall of more than $16 million for the coming fiscal year.
Hawker flew to Costa Rica on Friday for a vacation and will be back in the office on Monday, according to his executive assistant, Misty Wells. |
