| Description | "In his first public statement since being charged with harassing a woman and fighting with casino security staff, State Sen. Joseph Suliga today offered his apology to a West Caldwell woman and said that he would seek treatment for an alcohol-related problem.
Neither Suliga or Union County Democratic Chairwoman Charlotte DeFilippo have addressed questions about whether the 45-year-old freshman Senator would remain in the race.
"The events of the last several days have caused the woman in question, my family, my friends, my colleagues in the legislature and my constituents pain," Suliga said today. "I wish to apologize to them for any embarrassment I may have caused them.""
