| Description | Peel away many of the negative comments and party labels, and voters likely will find as many similarities as differences in the positions of Republican Bob Corker and Democrat Harold Ford Jr.
Both men are affable, and both openly discuss their faith. Both hold similar views on issues such as immigration reform, reducing dependence on oil from foreign nations, the fight against terrorists and the need for a balanced budget.
And both are working very hard to be the next U.S. senator from Tennessee.
While the views of the two are similar on several issues, their styles and backgrounds present striking contrasts.
And it is largely on their differences in background - solid business experience and a Tennessee lifestyle - that we endorse Bob Corker. |
