"Democrat Congressional candidate Patrick Murphy is off the market. Murphy took a break from the campaign trail this weekend and headed to Florida to marry Lower Makefield native Jennifer Safford on Saturday.
Murphy and Safford planned a small, private ceremony for family and close friends at the home of Safford’s grandparents in Highland Beach, a town about 25 miles north of Fort Lauderdale. Murphy and Safford plan to have a Catholic validation ceremony on July 8 at St. Mark church in Bristol.
Murphy, a Northeast Philadelphia native, and Safford, a 1993 graduate of Pennsbury High School, met in 2004 at a fundraiser at the Cozen O’Connor law firm where the two attorneys work.
The couple plan to take a short honeymoon to the British Virgin Islands. Murphy is expected back on the campaign trail by Wednesday, according to Dan De Rosa, Murphy’s deputy communications director." |
