Description | A defeated candidate in a bruising four-way Democratic congressional primary in eastern Iowa said Wednesday he is "looking at a lot of options" that could possibly include an independent candidacy.
Bill Gluba, a real estate agent in Davenport who made his opposition to the Iraq war a central issue in his First District primary campaign, lost to Waterloo lawyer Bruce Braley on Tuesday.
Gluba told the Quad City Times as returns came in that he might run as an independent. Asked Wednesday if he would make a bid, Gluba said, "I'm looking at a lot of options. I don't want to comment. As the weeks go on, we'll see what unfolds." |
