| Description | President Bush has put an end to terrorism — well, for two turkeys anyway.
In an act of clemency Guantanamo prisoners can only dream of, Dubya yesterday freed two gobblers from the food chain and sent them off to Disneyland.
"I know Marshmallow and Yam are going to feel pretty good strutting around sunny California, remembering the cold days of Minnesota," Bush said at a White House ceremony.
The President peered into Marshmallow's eyes and stroked the bird's fluffy white feathers with a tenderness usually reserved for members of the Saudi royal family.
Meanwhile, Focus on the Family is doing its best to make sure that those of you condemned to spend a day with your relatives don't kill each other.
The faith-based group is handing out 5,000 stress balls during Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
"It's supposed to be the happiest time of the year," says Focus' Steve Watters, "but for a lot of people it's just a reminder that things aren't working out so well in their lives." |
