Description | "VINELAND -- Jim Sauro may have been tops among Cumberland County Republicans Tuesday night, but that won't be enough to win him a pass to November's general election.
The former county freeholder and GOP nominated candidate teamed up with incumbent Jack Gibson in Tuesday's primary, competing for two slots on the Republican ticket in the fall against independent candidate George Cecola in the first legislative district.
In Cumberland County, where the first legislative district includes Millville, Maurice River Township, and Vineland, Sauro had 673 write-in votes while Cecola had 428 votes."
