Ralph Munro to serve on Carter-Baker Commission on Federal Election Reform

| Description | OLYMPIA… Former Washington Secretary of State Ralph Munro has been selected to serve on a new commission on federal election reform co-chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James A. Baker, III.
The private bipartisan Commission will assess the adequacy of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002 in addressing election-related challenges, review compliance with HAVA, gauge how it worked in the 2004 election, and determine the prospects for full implementation in two years. The commission will also consider recommendations on ways to restore or build full confidence of the American people in the U.S. electoral system.
