DescriptionCALGARY - It appears there will be a provincial election in Alberta in November – the final one for Premier Ralph Klein.

Klein told reporters in Calgary this morning this would "absolutely" be his last time on the ballot. The 61-year-old Calgarian is the longest-serving premier in Canada, having come to power in 1992.

Klein said he's leaning heavily toward holding the election in about two months.

"It depends on how soon and how smoothly we get the nominations out of the way, to make sure all of the constituencies are ready to go. If everything falls into place, it will be in November."

Klein says the key issues in the election will be delivering on Albertans' economic wishes now that the province has its debt covered – and to provide good government.
