Description | Ric Davidge, a Vietnam veteran and self-described Reagan conservative who worked as a high-level official in James Watt's Interior Department, said Tuesday that Sen. Lisa Murkowski has consistently voted against veterans and that he had more confidence in Democrat Tony Knowles.
Davidge, the first vice president of the Vietnam Veterans of America Alaska chapter, said veterans have been betrayed by Republicans, who continue to slash the budget for their programs.
"And I look at the votes of our current U.S. senator and it pisses me off," Davidge said. "We've consistently watched Lisa vote against veterans, and veterans in this state are unhappy about that." |
