Description | CINCINNATI - U.S. Sen. George Voinovich remained favored among registered Ohio voters, but challenger Eric Fingerhut gained ground, according to a poll released Wednesday.
The Ohio Poll, sponsored and conducted by the University of Cincinnati's Institute for Policy Research, found that 54 percent of those surveyed favored Voinovich, a Cleveland Republican, while 38 percent supported Fingerhut, a Democratic state senator from Cleveland. Eight percent were undecided.
In a September Ohio Poll, Voinovich was favored by 63 percent of those surveyed, compared with the 30 percent who supported Fingerhut. |
