Description | Between 1967 (when the old system of county voting ended) and 1973 (when the modern district system began), New Jersey elected State Senators at large within Essex County (known, for that purpose, as District 11), but elected Assemblymen by district. Six divisions (known as 11-A through 11-F) were used in 1967 and 1969, and five (11-A through 11-E) in 1971. |
