Description | This riding, located in NW Saskatchewan, depends almost entirely on oil production and agriculture. The Lloydminster Heavy Oil Upgrader is in the riding. Farming operations are mixed and very diversified (cattle, pigs, game, sheep, grain, pulse crops). Lloydminster, the largest centre in the riding takes advantage of tourism potential of its distinction as Canada's only border city (Sask/Alta) – its unique location makes Lloydminster exempt from provincial sales tax. The Onion Lake Indian Reserve is in the riding. |
