| Description | This riding, on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, includes the southern part of Victoria including area south of Bay Street/Richmond Avenue/Haultain Street and west of Victoria Harbour.
It includes the Parliament Buildings, inner harbour houses as well as the conference and trade centre.
There is a large, established retiree community in the riding, with 18% of the population over age 65 in the 2006 census.
Rented dwellings exceeded owned dwellings, 63% to 37%.
In 2008 redistribution, kept 89% of the riding; added 9% of Victoria-Hillside. |
