On May 23, 1991, Moldova's legislative body was renamed THE PARLIAMENT, previously being called the Supreme Council.
Deputies of the (most recent) 19th legislature were elected on the basis of proportional voting and have divided themselves into four parliamentary factions:
1.) the Fracțiunea Partidului Socialiștilor din Republica Moldova; Deputies: 37;
2.) the Fracțiunea Partidului Democrat din Moldova; Deputies: 22;
3.) the Fracțiunea PAS, Blocul ACUM; Deputies: 14; and
4.) the Fracțiunea ACUM PLATFORMA DA; Deputies: 11 |
