| Description | Overview
With the passage of US Senate Bill S. 2739 (and with the Presidents' signature),
the US Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) shall now have a
non-voting Congressional delegate in the US House to be seated January 3, 2009.
This eliminated the position of CNMI Resident Representative to the U.S. [Link]
The election shall take place with the rest of the Federal elections every two years
in November of even-numbered years. |
