DescriptionLiberal International is a political international for international liberal parties. Its headquarters are located in London inside the building of the National Liberal Club. It was founded in Oxford in 1947, and has become the pre-eminent network for liberal parties and for the strengthening of liberal democracy around the world.

As of November 2006, the president of Liberal International was the British Liberal Democrat peer Lord Alderdice, former leader of the Alliance Party of Northern Ireland.
