Its borders are Bloomington Road in the south, Newmarket town limits in the north, Bathurst Street in the west and Highway 404 in the east.
Manufacturing is the major industry, with auto parts maker Magna International the largest manufacturer. Retail trade and the service sector are also important to the economy. Average family income is $97,216 and unemployment is 3.6 per cent.
The riding was created in 2004 from 50 per cent of York North and 24 per cent of Vaughan-King-Aurora.
