| Description | Federal Territory administered under the Ministry of Federal Territories and Malaysia's "Administrative Capital."
Dubbed the "City in a Garden" and "Intelligent City," Putrajaya, the brainchild of Prime Minister Mohathir, was launched like a new battleship on February 1, 2001 - the third of three enclaves reorganized as federal territories in Malaysia.
Originally the land of "Prang Besar," the territory was renamed Putrajaya (literally translated as 'victory and success'). It is governed by the "Corporation of Putrajaya" which is headed by a chairman who functions as the territories' governor. |
