InfoA resident of Surrey for over 27 years, Harry Bains is dedicated to making sure that Victoria hears the concerns of people in our community.

Bains has been active in the Surrey community for many years, and he cares about the issues that matter to us. He has years of experience in education having served on the Kwantlen College Board of Governors between 1993 and 1999, and thanks to his work as a volunteer with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, he knows firsthand the importance of bringing the community together to make sure no one is left behind.

Harry's been a member of the IWA since 1973, and as first vice-president of IWA local 2171, Harry has a proven track record of standing up for the needs of working families.

"Harry Bains is an outstanding individual," says community leader Charan Gill. "He is well-respected and known for his principled positions, commitment and integrity, not only in the Indo-Canadian community but in the community at large."

"Harry has the integrity and vision to carry community principles into government in the 21st century," says Penny Priddy, former MLA.

Harry and his wife Rajvinder live in Surrey. They have two children: Kulpreet and Jasmeen.
