Info | RIORDAN, Daniel Joseph, a Representative from New York; born in New York City July 7, 1870; attended the public schools until 1886, when he entered Manhattan College, from which he graduated in 1890; engaged in the real-estate business; elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-sixth Congress (March 4, 1899-March 3, 1901); elected a member of the State senate in 1902 and again in 1904; elected to the Fifty-ninth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Timothy D. Sullivan and on the same day was elected to the Sixtieth Congress; reelected to the Sixty-first and to the seven succeeding Congresses and served from November 6, 1906, until his death in Washington, D.C., April 28, 1923; interment in Calvary Cemetery, Long Island City, N.Y.
