| Info | Constance J. Milstein presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Malta on October 27, 2022. She was nominated by President Biden and was confirmed by the Senate on August 6, 2022. Ambassador Milstein is an attorney, businesswoman, philanthropist, and social entrepreneur. She was a Principal and Co-Founder of Ogden CAP Properties, LLC.
Ambassador Milstein has led international initiatives to address pressing global issues and geopolitical threats. She was a founding board member of Blue Star Families, the nation’s largest support organization for military spouses and children. Ambassador Milstein pioneered the inventive non-profit Dog Tag bakery, dedicated to empowering disabled veterans. During the Obama-Biden administration, Ambassador Milstein served as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army. She has played key roles with many nonprofits and NGOs focused on international relations, global education, and democracy building, which include Seton Hall University’s School of Diplomacy, United Nations Association, Refugees International, and UN Watch.
Ambassador Milstein earned her B.S. from New York University and her J.D. cum laude from North Carolina Central University Law School, where she served as comment editor of the North Carolina Central Law Review. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Angel Award, Blue Star Families; Distinguished Service Award, NYU College of Arts & Science; and the Albert Gallatin Medal for outstanding contributions to society, NYU. She speaks French and Italian. Ambassador Milstein is a proud mother and grandmother. She is joined in Malta by her husband, Saïd Abu-Kaud.
