A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, Robert Triozzi received his B.A. degree from Cornell University and earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University Law School. Before winning a seat on the municipal bench in 1995, he served on the City of Cleveland’s Civil Service Commission and worked for a term as an aid in the US Congress. He was re-elected to the Cleveland court without opposition in 2001.
Judge Triozzi is active in numerous civic and community organizations. He is a former trustee of the Cleveland Bar Association and presently the co-chair of the bar association’s Education Initiative, which sponsors the Cleveland Municipal Mock Trial Competition and a Citizenship Tutoring Program for Cleveland high school students each year. Judge Triozzi was the recipient of the 2003 Justice for All Award given by the Cleveland Bar Association for his volunteer service to the Cleveland community.
