| Info | Born in Liverpool, England, James immigrated to Australia with his parents and settled in South Australia. He came to Tasmania with his Tasmanian wife, Janine in 1980. They met while studying at Adelaide University. Janine runs her own dental surgery in Hobart.
A honours graduate in Law from the University of Tasmania, James decided upon private practice and in 1986 commenced his own firm. Since that time he has appeared in nearly every jurisdiction that touch and concern the constituency of Denison.
A keen sailor, James took his family away for 2 years on a sailing holiday along the eastern seaboard before returning to practice. It was during this time he decided to cease being a political spectator and join the fray. With the benefit of time and distance, James was able to see too. much was being left undone.
