| Info | John Rockwell was born July 31, 1911 at Wilmette, Illinois. He was a graduate of Lockridge High School and attended Iowa Wesleyan College. He married Eunice Monson in June, 1939, to which union were born four children.
Mr. Rockwell farmed for over fifty years in southern Henry County. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, the Farmer’s Union, the First United Methodist Church (serving on its Board of Trustees for several years), worked actively for the United Fund and the Mt. Pleasant Industrial Commission, served as a township trustee, as president of a rural school board and director of the Red Cross and Community Chest.
A Republican, Mr. Rockwell represented Henry County in the Fifty-eighth and Fifty-ninth General Assemblies.
