| Info | James was born and raised in Somerset, and is proud to stand for Labour in North Dorset at this election.
James is a charity campaigner, passionate about decent work and good jobs. Under his leadership, half of the FTSE 100 have made commitments to improve working conditions for their staff and supply chain workers.
James is a former local councillor. He is determined that, if elected on 4 July he will roll his sleeves up and advocate for people right across North Dorset.
Outside of work James is a trustee of a local food bank. He understands how hard people have been hit by the cost-of-living crisis, and if elected has pledged to work towards ending food bank use in our country.
As a dad to a young son, family is the most important thing to James. Too often pursuing a political career means neglecting family matters. He wants to show that being an MP and being a family man can go hand-in-hand.
