InfoI'm determined to win this seat for Labour and stand up for the people of Central Ayrshire.

I was born and brought up in the constituency and live here too. I did my public service overseas as British Trade Commissioner for South Asia securing billions of pounds of investment that created thousands of jobs in Scotland and the UK. With the Scottish Whisky Association for example, I secured a major reduction in whisky tarrifs in India - resulting in many more bottles sold and safeguarding jobs here in Scotland. Now I'd like to use my experience to represent the community where I grew up in Parliament.

Having spoken to thousands of voters across Central Ayrshire since I was selected, it's clear are people are fed up with the SNP and the Tories. Only Scottish Labour can beat the SNP here and only a Labour Government can deliver for the people of Central Ayrshire. If elected, I will:

Tackle the cost of living crisis, cut household bills and put money back in your pocket;

Fight for better local services suffering eye-watering cuts from SNP- and Tory-led councils ;

Stand up for our local health services and support Labour's plans for an NHS fit for the future;

Work to create new high-quality jobs, a genuine living wage and opportunities for people here; and

Promote our high streets and local businesses and bring pride back to our town centres.
