Nolan Chen was born in Decatur, Illinois, the son of immigrants from Taiwan. When he was three, his father moved the family to the SF Bay Area in search of even better opportunities.
After growing up in Cupertino, CA Nolan completed his formal education on the East Coast where he graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
After living on the East Coast for a few years, Nolan returned to the Bay Area where he has worked for the past twenty plus years in the tech industry.
In addition to working in Silicon Valley, Nolan also hosts an educational YouTube Channel, Homeschool Nolan, and has always been passionate about volunteering in the community. He has served as;
