Info | I moved to Boulder nine years ago with my husband Brian and our two young sons. After over 20 years living in San Francisco, we were looking for a place to raise our boys that would provide opportunities to build a school-centric community while allowing for a more balanced lifestyle. Boulder checked all the boxes!
My Work Life
After graduating from UC Berkeley, I moved to San Francisco where I started my career in public accounting and received my CPA certification. Over the next 20 years, I worked in various senior finance positions for healthcare and life sciences related start-ups and have since started my own CFO consulting practice here in Boulder.
With my financial background, I bring a deep understanding of the discipline and pragmatism needed when making spending decisions. I have spent my career working with companies to optimize their processes and spending to meet strategic goals. With 25+ years of financial leadership under my belt, I can bring a data-driven, results-oriented approach toward legislation and oversight. I believe my skill set is exactly what is needed in the City Council at this time and would be honored to be given the opportunity to contribute to making Boulder the best it can be.
Since moving here, I have put a lot of my focus into school health and safety initiatives, including leading the Hug ‘N Go safety program and Bolder Boulder Run Club at Whittier Elementary, and advocating for the removal of cell phones from Casey Middle School classrooms. Most recently, I joined several other Boulder High School parents in successfully putting the Safe Zones 4 Kids initiative on the November ballot. Through these experiences, I have seen the power of grassroots democracy and the exceptional - and inspiring - level of engagement in our Boulder community.
When I am not “embarrassing” my children with my seemingly constant presence at their schools, I can usually be found walking my dog on Sanitas, running, climbing 14ers with my oldest son or acting as gardening assistant to Brian, who has an exotic hot pepper obsession. I know I am fortunate to live in Boulder and feel a responsibility to give back to this amazing community.
