| Info | Minutes after Lucca Murdoch Howard was born, the Blue Angels flew over the hospital, making for the most Seattle birth possible. He was raised in Ravenna and Green Lake, graduating from Ingraham High School in 2022. Over the past years, Lucca has worked with his mother, Sarah Murdoch, (formerly of Rick Steves) in her travel business, Adventures with Sarah, as an apprentice tour director in Europe and SE Asia. Growing up in the travel industry has exposed Lucca to diverse cultures and points of view, which informs his positions on the issues in the city of Seattle today.
Lucca is currently a student at North Seattle College and is a recipient of the Seattle Promise scholarship.
Lucca is passionate about city planning and transit. He is a board member for ARC, which is looking to improve Aurora Avenue. He has also been an avid campaigner for I-135, an affordable housing program which recently met voter approval.
Lucca lives in the Licton Springs neighborhood, north of Green Lake, with his mom, brother Nico, and cats Isis and Opal.
