InfoGEORGE N. BASHARA was born and raised in Detroit, and had a long and distinguished public service career in Wayne County and the state of Michigan. He earned his bachelors degree at the University of Michigan and, upon finishing law school, joined his fathers law firm as a partner. While still practicing with the firm, he was appointed to the Michigan Employment Security Appeal Board.

In later years, he assumed legal positions at Dykema Gossett, Federal-Mogul and Clark Hill law firm.

Throughout his career, Judge Bashara was active in bar associations at the national, state and local levels and in the Arab American Bar Association.
