InfoDrawing upon his distinguished career in both the public and private sectors, Bruce Crozier has served as a Member of Provincial Parliament for 13 years. He was first elected in a 1993 by-election and was re-elected in 1995, 1999 and 2003.

Bruce was nominated in October 2005 as Deputy Speaker of the Legislature and Chair of the Committee of the Whole; two positions that require the kind of integrity and fairness demonstrated by Bruce throughout his career. He was also named as Chair of the Federal, Inter-Provincial and Municipal Relations Committee of Cabinet, which deals with a broad range of intergovernmental issues that come before Cabinet.

Prior to provincial politics, Bruce was mayor of Leamington from 1988 to 1993, having been elected to Leamington Town Council in 1985.

As a certified general accountant, Bruce has been able to bring his financial expertise to public service. For 22 years, he was Vice-President of Finance and Secretary-Treasurer of Bennie Lumber and Building Materials Ltd. He worked for 11 years in the financial division of H.J. Heinz Company. He has also practiced as a registered insurance broker.

Bruce has been active in many community groups. As a life member of the Kinsmen Club, he has held a number of senior positions, which include District Governor and National Director.

He has also been involved with the Leamington Arena Board, the Leamington Recreation Committee, and the Red Cross as Director of the Leamington Chamber of Commerce. Bruce is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 84.

Bruce and his wife, Joan, have two grown children and three grandchildren.
