Info | Vincent B. Rettino, a father of two and lifelong resident of New Jersey, has spent his entire career in education. He is currently the Director of Personnel for Union Township Public Schools. Vincent understands that providing a strong Commissioner team that is focused on creating opportunities for their constituents, is vital for Union County residents.
Born in Hillside, Vincent grew up in Winfield Park and Roselle, attending Roselle Catholic High School. He went on to earn his bachelor's and master's degrees from Kean University. Vincent taught at Franklin High School in Somerset, for the Plainfield Board of Education and Union High School, where he also served as a Vice Principal for over ten years. Continually looking for opportunities to give back to his community, Vincent worked on Saturdays at Union County Correctional Facility providing GED prep classes to inmates. He's been a volunteer coach for Rahway Little League and Scotch Plains Little League and recreational basketball, as well as a Cub Scout leader. Currently, Vincent resides in Westfield and is a member of St. Bartholomew's RC church in Scotch Plains.
