Info | Even as a young man, I was committed to servant-leadership, and have built my life around a commitment to service as a proud American.
After attending Jesuit high school in Cincinnati, I attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and commissioned into Army Aviation, ultimately flying UH-60 Black Hawks, and taking on assignments in the far reaches of the world. Having served our country for more than 11 years on active duty, both across the U.S. and in such places as Central America and Korea, I can tell you that my appreciation for our freedoms and for the greatness of America cannot be taken for granted.
The U.S. Army brought me to middle Tennessee 22 years ago, with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell. As a Unit Commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, my unit supported the 3rd Brigade deep into Iraq, and across dozens of missions at the onset of the war.
After a second tour to Baghdad as a staff officer, I left active duty to pursue a business degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and then a career in healthcare operations, working with teams across multiple states providing life-saving care to the most vulnerable renal failure patients, and leading businesses through the complexities of healthcare delivery; most recently, tackling our country’s COVID response.
My wife, Moreen, is an IT professional, and together we have 4 adult children, all educated in middle Tennessee.
