Info | Andrea Goldsmith is a community builder, organizer and facilitator. An elected Councillor in the Town of Gibsons, Andrea is running for federal Parliament to promote a vision of ecological sustainability, social compassion, and economic responsibility for Canada. Andrea believes in politics as “the art of the possible,” and in the political arts of consultation, communication, and compromise. She brings a breath of fresh air to a political system desperately needing resuscitation.
Age 36, Andrea has worked professionally in the corporate and non-profit sectors, has volunteered extensively, and is a patron of the arts. In touch with youth culture, she bridges the generations with ease and fluidity. One of Andrea’s highest priorities is to address the cynicism of youth and disenfranchised Canadians, and to reengage them in our political democracy.
Andrea has recently been named a member of the Green Party of Canada “shadow cabinet” for Municipal Affairs. She is single, has no children, and is bilingual.
Andrea reminds everyone who cares about a balanced future that your vote translates directly into funding for political parties in between elections, so… every vote counts, and it’s time to vote your conscience.
