InfoStephen Rogers brings a wealth of experience and a diversity of accomplishments to his candidacy for the Conservative nomination for Vancouver Quadra.

Stephen is a former British Columbia Cabinet member, serving in the roles of Minister of Environment, Minister of Energy, Minister of Health, Minister of Intergovernmental Relations, as well as being elected as Speaker of the Legislature. Under his tenure within these various portfolios, Stephen built BC Place and acquired the land for Expo 86, privatized over $1 billion in government assets and Crown Corporations, and was instrumental in negotiating an end to the federal government's National Energy Program.

Stephen also served as a commercial pilot for over 35 years, and was an Officer Cadet in the Royal Canadian Airforce. Stephen is currently a successful businessman involved in various endeavours and industries.

Stephen is an avid aviation enthusiast that takes a hands-on and active approach to life, whether in fishing with his young son, installing an airplane engine or in building an entire house from scratch on Bowen Island. Stephen has a variety of personal interests, and has a wealth of contacts through involvement in organizations across the spectrum, from his membership in the Sir John A. MacDonald Society to his rides as part of the BC Motorcycle Coalition.

A native of Vancouver and a long time resident of the riding, Stephen is a committed family man with his wife Val, 4 children and one grandchild.
