Info | Ralph Pilchner is a professional construction worker and concerned citizen who is running for the Green Party in the Yorkton-Melville riding. He believes Canada and Saskatchewan can be strengthened economically and socially through progressive policies, and that the Green Party of Canada is the best choice for voters who want a government that represents all Canadians responsibly.
Policies supported by Ralph include:
• Promoting farming in Saskatchewan. The family farm is one of the most important institutions in our province, and is vital to maintaining the wealth and population of our rural areas. Corporatization of our farmland must be decreased. The Green Party of Canada supports organic farming initiatives, and will fight for the renewal and growth of the farming industry in our province.
• Accessible Medicare. User fees actually reduce the quality of care for many lower-income citizens. Yet waiting lists are too long for medical assessments and surgeries. This unnecessary situation could be prevented by improving and expanding on rural health care facilities, which protects people across the province while offloading some of the strain on urban hospitals.
• Lower Taxes for the majority of Canadians. By lowering taxes for individual Canadians, while increasing taxes on industries that pollute and otherwise threaten our health and environment, we can continue to balance government budgets while promoting consumer spending.
• Environmentally responsible government. The government should play an active role in guiding Canadian industry towards economic and environmental sustainability.
Ralph Pilchner is committed to providing his constituents with strong and progressive representation in Ottawa.
