| Info | Dale Jackaman, currently the President of Amuleta Computer Security Inc., has over two decades of senior managerial experience in a broad range of computer, engineering and scientific research and development companies, notably as a senior manager and Information Technology Director at BC Research Inc. Dale has been involved in a number of hi-tech start-ups across a broad range of technologies from hybrid electric vehicles to silvaculture and microwave assisted extraction of natural products.
Dale is a former Reservist with the Canadian Armed Forces Signal Corps and is a veteran with several tours of active duty in the Middle East. He graduated from college specializing in electronics and telecommunications and became a computer professional during the early days of the personal computer revolution.
On the political front Dale has long been a social democrat with an activist background. He served as Executive Director of Airspace Action on Smoking and Health Society and played a significant role in making British Columbia the top clean indoor air province in Canada.
Dale, a recent amputee due to complications from childhood cancer, is an active participant on the federal New Democratic Party's Disabled Rights Committee and a volunteer peer counsellor at the GF Strong rehabilitation facility.
Dale is an active amateur radio operator and is often involved in communications related regional emergency preparedness exercises or public service work and has been a volunteer instructor and Industry Canada amateur radio examiner at UBC for many years. As a student himself, he is taking law enforcement related computer crime courses in BCIT's Forensic Sciences Program.
Dale is a long time resident in Richmond where he lives with his wife Amy and daughter Amanda.
